C. Function
(1) RM5231A
• This is the CPU of the system. It is an external 32 (internal 64) bit RISC processor.
(2) DEM LSI
• It connects the CPU and the controller for controlling overall operation of the system.
(3) Program memory (RAMS board section)
• The program board with software for operating the system is mounted here. The program
is downloaded to the work memory (SDRAM) on MFBS when the power is turned ON.
The program starts on the work memory.
(4) Work memory (SDRAM)
• This memory serves the work area of the system operation.
(5) Backup memory (SRAM)
• It is a 512 KB capacity memory that stores the status information of the system.
