15. IMAGE STABILIZATION CONTROL

15.1 Outline

• To ensure uniform output image quality at all times, comprehensive control is provided including control of the developing bias voltage, laser
light intensity, registration correction, gamma correction, and other parameters.
Purpose
To stabilize image density
To stabilize image transfer
An explanation is given of the control for each section.

15.2 Operation sequence

15.2.1 IDC sensor output correction

• Changes in various types of characteristics due to changes with time of the IDC sensor (deteriorated LED, contaminated sensor surface),
part-to-part variations in the IDC sensor, and changes in environment affect the transfer belt. To correct fluctuations in the sensor output, the
sensor LED light intensity is adjusted so that the IDC sensor output value remains constant.

• Developing bias control

the transfer belt)
• Laser light intensity control
• Gamma correction control
• Color shift correction control
• 1st image transfer ATVC
• 2nd image transfer ATVC
