Profile Information and the available configuration parameters viewable in the menu will vary depending on the options
that were chosen in the Add CPU Access Profile menu. To set the Access Rule for Ethernet, adjust the following
parameters as applicable for the CPU Access Profile being configured and click Apply.
Parameter Description
Access ID (1-5) Type in a unique identifier number for this access. This value can be set from 1 to 5.
VLAN
Use this to specify that the access profile will apply to only to the VLAN in the VLAN Name field.
MAC Address Specify that the access profile will apply to the Source MAC Address, and/or Destination MAC
Address.
802.1p (0-7) Enter a value from 0 to 7 to specify that the access profile will apply only to packets with this
802.1p priority value.
Ethernet Type Specify access profile is applied to the Ethernet type value in each frame's header.
Action Select Permit to specify that the packets that match the access profile are forwarded by the
Switch, according to any additional rule added (see below).
Select Deny to specify the packets that match the access profile are not forwarded by the Switch
and will be filtered.
Time Range Tick the check box and enter the name of the Time Range settings that has been previously
Name configured in the Time Range Settings window. This will set specific times when this access rule
will be implemented on the Switch.
Ports Enter a range of ports to be configured.
Click Apply to display the following Access Rule List window:
