COOLANT REPLACEMENT
CAUTION:
The engine must be cool be/ore
lef1licing
the
cooling
Iystem, or severe
scalding may rewlt
Remove the radiator cap.
Drain the coolant from the radiator by removing the
drain plug located at the lower left sub-frame.
Drain the coolant from the engine by removing the
drain bohs at the water pump cover and cylinder
heads.
Replace the drain plug and bolts.
Fill the system with
it
50-50 mixture of distilled
water and ethylene glycol.
S feed air from the radiator.
• Start the engine and run until there are no air
bubbles in the coolant, and the level stabilizes.
• Stop the engine and add coolant up to the proper
level
if
necessary.
• Reinstall the radiator cap.
• Check the level of coolant in the reserve tank and
fill to the correct level if the level is low.
