Remove the exhaust muffler mount bolts and joint
nuts.
Loosen the exhaust pipe clamp bolts and remove
the exhaust mufflers.
Remove the exhaust chamber mount bolt.
Remove the carburetor (page 4-31.
Remove the radiator
(page
6·6).
Remove the rear wheellpage 16·3).
Place the motorcycle on its center stand.
Removll the seat and raise the fuel tank.
Aemove the left and right frame side covers.
Drain the engine oil (page 2·3) and the coolimt
(page
6·3).
ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
ENGINE REMOVAL
Disconnect the wire couplers for the alleroator, oil
pressure switch. and pulse generator.
Remove the wire clamp
Disconnect the spark plug caps.
Remove the bolt attaching the ground cable to the
crankcase arn:l disconnect the ground cable.
