Remove the camshaft holder dowel pins and the
intake and exhaust camshafts.
Remove the cam sprockets from the camshafts.
INTAKE CAMSHAFT
CYLINDER HEADIVALVE
DOWEL PINS
CAMSHAFT/CAM HOLDER
INSPECTION
Inspect the camshaft and holder journal surfaces
for scoring. scratches, or evidence of insufficient
lubrication.
CAMSHAFT RUNOUT
Check camshaft run out with a dial indicator.
Support both ends of the camshaft with V-blocks.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.10 mm (0.004 in)
