Warning
(1) Do not use in an environment where there is explosive gases or dustpresent.
The analogue ASW and the sensor monitor are not explosion proof. Fire or an explosion may result.
Caution
(1) Do not use in a place where magnetic fields are generated.
Using the product in such a place may cause a malfunction or deterioration in the accuracy of the product.
(2) Do not use in water, an environment where condensation occurs, or other environments where water is
constantly sprayed.
Although the analogue ASW satisfies the IEC standard IP67 specifications, avoid using it in an environment where
water is always sprayed on the position sensor. Otherwise, improper insulation or malfunction may be caused.
(The monitor satisfies the IEC standard IP40 specifications).
(3) Do not use in an environment where oil content or chemicals are present.
If the product is used in an environment where various oils and chemicals, such as a coolant and cleaning solvent,
are present even for a short time, it may be adversely affected (insulation failure, malfunction due to swelling of resin,
or hardening of the lead wires).
(4) Do not use in an environment where there are cyclic temperature changes.
If exposed to cyclic temperature patterns other than ordinary changes in the temperature, the product may be
adversely affected.
(5) Pay attention to the accumulation of iron debris or close contact with magnetic bodies.
If a large amount of iron powders such as machining chips or welding spatter has accumulated or a magnetic body
(thing that attaches to a magnet) is brought into close proximity of the cylinder/actuator with magnet built in, it may
cause the analogue ASW to malfunction due to a weakening of the magnetic force inside the cylinder/actuator.
(6) Do not use in an area where surges are generated.
If there is equipment (solenoid lifter, high frequency induction furnace, motor, radio, etc.) which generates a large
amount of surge or electromagnetic waves around the cylinder/actuator with analogue ASW, a damage to the circuit
elements inside the product may be caused.
(7) In a place exposed to direct sunlight, shield the product from sunlight.
(8) Do not use in a place where there is a heat source or exposed to radiant heat.
(9) There is no resistance to lightening surge according to the CE marking. Take measures against lightning
surges in the system.
(10) Do not use in a welding environment.
Using the product in such a place may cause a malfunction or deterioration in the accuracy of the product.
(11) Do not use a load which generates a surge.
When a surge voltage-generating load such as a relay or solenoid valve is driven directly, use a product type with a
built-in surge absorbing element.
(12) Keep within the specified ambient temperature range.
The ambient temperature range is −10 to 60°C for the analogue ASW and 0 to 50°C for the sensor monitor. If used
at a low temperature (5°C or below), the product may be damaged or malfunction due to frozen moisture in the air.
Take freezing prevention measures to prevent it from occurring.
Avoid abrupt temperature changes even within the specified temperature range.
(13) Do not use in an environment subject to radiation stress.
Because radiation resistance is not incorporated, a malfunction of the product or a damage to the circuit elements
inside the product may be caused.
