a.
Align the adapter with the connector on the PCIe riser; then, carefully press the PCIe
adapter straight into the slot until it is securely seated and its bracket also is secured.
b.
Secure the adapter with a screw.
c.
Pull the plunger that secures the PCIe adapter retainer.
d.
Close the PCIe adapter retainer to the locked position.
Install PCIe adapter to six slot HH riser
Note: A Gen 4 riser is used as an example for illustration. The replacement procedure for a Gen 5 riser is
similar.
Procedure
Step 1.
If a filler has been installed to the slot on the PCIe riser, remove the screw that secures it and
remove the filler.
Step 2.
Install the PCIe adapter.
