NOTES
Check the condition of the passenger glovebox light and the bulb.
Replace the passenger glovebox light and the bulb if necessary (see MR 451 Mechanical, 81B, Interior lighting,
Glovebox light: Removal - Refitting).
Check the condition and connection of the connectors of the passenger glovebox light, component code 168 and
the passenger glovebox switch, component code 161.
If the connectors are faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check for +12 V on the passenger glovebox light, component code 168 on the following connection:
• LPG of component 168 (for a right-hand drive vehicle),
• LPD of component 168 (for a left-hand drive vehicle).
Check the continuity of the following connection:
• LPG between components 1016 and 168 (for a right-hand drive vehicle),
• LPD between components 1016 and 168 (for a left-hand drive vehicle).
If the connection or connections are faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical
wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.

Fault finding – Fault Finding Chart
The glovebox light does not work
Only address this customer complaint after a complete check with the diagnostic
tool.
Put the lighting stalk, component code 209 in the side lights position.
There must be no present or stored faults.
Check the conformity of status ET324 Side lights request.
If not correct, refer to the interpretation of this status.
Special note:
Use the Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for DUSTER.
Check the system operation.
