Components in separate control cabinets
If the components are located in separate control cabinets, the wiring between the Modular
Safety System and the F-DIs on the inverter must be installed such that it is protected
against cross and short-circuits.
Transfer the two signals for activating a safety function via wires in separate lines. In the
example, the signals for terminal 5 and 7 are transferred via the first line. The signals for
terminal 6 and 8 are then transferred via the second line.
If you want to use the fail-safe outputs of the 3RK3 central unit for transferring signals via
two channels, inverter discrepancy monitoring must be adapted to the different switching
times of the electronic output and relay contact.
