1 Engine – 1.10 Ignition/heating

Ignition/heating, description (engine

alternative Volvo)

The engine is equipped with preheating of the inlet air, for faster

start at low temperatures. Preheating is activated when the start key

is in position II. When preheating is activated Indicator light preheat-

ing is on. The ignition sends signals to Control unit KIT (D790-2)

which sends messages via CAN-buss drivetrain to Control unit en-

gine (D794).

The engine is equipped with preheating of the inlet air, for faster

start at low temperatures. Preheating is activated automatically by

the engine's own control system.
