Single digit dial through of Auto Attendant

This feature allows the user to dial through the Auto Attendant, to separate groups using a single
digit. These groups can be configured by the user to contain the extensions they require (up to
16 extensions per group). If the user dials a single digit and pauses for 2 seconds (default for the
AA Dial Timer) the calls are presented as follows:
If the digit 1 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 20
If the digit 2 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 19
If the digit 3 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 18
If the digit 4 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 17
If the digit 5 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 16
If the digit 6 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 15
If the digit 7 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 14
If the digit 8 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 13
If the digit 9 is dialled the call will be routed to Group 12
If the digit 0 is dialled the call will be routed to the Group associated with that line
Auto Attendant will operate in the normal manner, the call is answered by the voice module with
the Auto Attendant message, then the user dials the required digit and the call is routed to the
destination associated with the digit dialled.

Dialling # when Listening to the Auto Attendant Greeting

If one of the Directory services is programmed on then the relevant directory message is played. If
a Directory service is not programmed the call is presented to the destination set in the
"Incoming Ringing" programming for the line.

Dialling More than One Digit

If a valid extension number is dialled and the extension is free, the phone is rung.
If the extension is busy the call is camped on to the extension. If a forward when busy is
programmed it is activated. If forward on no answer is programmed it is activated after the no
answer timer expires.

Dialling an Invalid Number

If a number is dialled which is not a valid extension, group, or phantom mailbox the call is
presented to the destination set in the Incoming Ringing programming for the line.
Valid extension numbers are those associated with the extension cards equipped in the switch. An
extension on a extension card which has not got a phone connected to it is a valid extension.
However an extension number associated with an extension card that is not fitted is not a valid
number.
If a phantom mailbox is not programmed the number associated with that box is not a valid
number.

Dialling Incomplete Numbers

If an incomplete number is dialled (e.g. 10) the call is presented to the destination set in the
"Incoming Ringing" programming for the line after five seconds. A five second inter digit pause is
provided between the second and subsequent digits.

Dialling when in the Recording Phase

Dialling any digits when in the recording phase of a call will stop recording the message at that
point, save the message in the voice box of the called extension and automatically start recording
a new message.
