Dialing emergency numbers on systems equipped with IP
Trunks
Emergency calls are not supported on VoIP services. If a VoIP trunk is selected and 999 or 112 is
dialled a free exchange line or ISDN B channel is selected and the call is redialled over it.
Note:
It is important that systems are equipped with at least one exchange line to ensure
that emergency calls can be made.

Incoming Ringing / Auto Attendant / Courtesy Service

On the "Incoming Ringing" option in the Line programming all the equipped IP Trunks are
shown. They can be programmed as normal lines to ring a group or extension or to be answered
by Courtesy service or Auto Attendant. See Page 55.

Analogue/Basic Rate line backup

A single PRI Access providing up to 12 channels can be equipped. However two additional Line
modules can be equipped providing for up to four analogue/Basic Rate lines which can also be
used. The maximum number of line interfaces that can be provided is 16, ( 12 channels and 4 PSTN
lines or 2 ISDN basic rate accesses).
The line modules are installed in the two network card slots on the CCU.

Presentation of Lines on the Featurephones

Programmed Featurephone keys in Key system mode

The Featurephone keys are programmed with Lines 1-8 in the case of the V8 and Lines 1-16 in the
case of the V16.
If the switch is programmed with a PRI Access pressing Line 1 will request a B channel from the
network. The line offered may not be the first B Channel. However the Led associated with Line 1
key will light on all Featurephones.
Any backup Lines equipped will be numbered Line 31 - 34 or Access 1 - 2.
If more than 16 Line keys are required the keys on a DSS unit can be programmed. The same
procedure applies to these keys. In the case of PRI Access the network will determine the B
Channel.

Line presentation in the Featurephone display

When a switch is equipped with PSTN Lines only the lines are presented as Line 1, Line 2 etc on the
Featurephone display when an external consultation, transfer or conference is invoked.
In the case of PRI the numbering will be the same, but when a line is selected the network will
determine which B-Channel is used. Any backup Lines will be numbered Line 31 - 34.
