1)
When 2 fault inputs "x" (from FB "Faults") are configured to fault input N.X_, an analog signal (e.g.
temperature) can be monitored for "Limit value high" and "Limit value low" and normal value range
between the values.

Explanation, example
At DP "Limit value fault on", fault status "1" is set
for the digital inputs.
If the fault source is connected to N.X1...N.X8,
the following setting is required:
"Input identifier > N.X_ = Digital".
At DP "Limit value fault off", fault status "0" is set
for the digital inputs.
If the fault source is connected to N.X1...N.X8,
the following setting is required:
"Input identifier > N.X_ = Digital".
DP "Limit value fault on" is displayed if an
analog signal (e.g. °C) is connected to universal
inputs N.X1...N.X8. A fault status message is
triggered when a limit value is violated.
Example: N.X3 is configured for temperature
monitoring (°C) and connected to fault input 1.
Configure the following:
"Input identifier > N.X3 = °C" and "Faults >
Fault input 1 = N.X3".
DP "Limit value fault off" is displayed if an
analog signal (e.g. °C) is connected to universal
inputs N.X1...N.X8. A fault status message is
when a limit value is violated.
The fault status message delay acts as a filter
for short-term fault events. You can set the time
the central communication unit should wait until
it begins to handle a fault.
Define at DP "Fault acknowledgement" if an
existing fault requires acknowledgement via
"Ack" button on the central communication unit.
Setting values "Urgent" and "Not urgent" are
used as a filter to send fault status messages.
