2.2.2 Central communication units V2.0

Central communication units V2.0 (software or firmware version V2.0) are produced
from March 2008.
Firmware V2.0 allows for communication via Ethernet (Ethernet card OZZ7E5 required)
and using the central communication unit as a web server.
Central communication units V2.0 with "Ethernet = Yes, Web server = No" can send e-
mails via Ethernet and communicate with ACS.
Required:
• Ethernet card OZZ7E5
Central communication units V2.0 with "Ethernet = No, Web server = Yes" can be
operated as web servers and communicate locally via USB with a PC/laptop (test web
server function).
Required:
• Prepare web server data
• First login to the web browser
Commissioning central communication units V2.0 with "Ethernet = Yes, Web server =
Yes" will be the most common case (presumably). This version combines the commis-
sioning steps "Ethernet = Yes" and "Web server = Yes".
See Section 6.4 for information on web operation and alarming via Ethernet, set up
after commissioning and parameterization.

2.2.3 Plant and devices ready for commissioning

Check the following prior to commissioning a plant with one (or several) central com-
munication unit(s) OZW775 and Synco devices:
• Central communication unit, Synco devices and field devices are installed.
• KNX bus is connected to the central communication unit and the Synco devices.
• Communication via Ethernet: Ethernet card OZZ7E5 is inserted.
• Connections via modem and/or Ethernet exist.
• AC 24 V operating voltage for the central communication unit and Synco devices is
wired and connected (also AC 230 V for e.g. RXB room controller).
• AC 24 V (and AC 230 V) operating voltage is not yet switched on.
The central communication unit OZW775 comes with KNX device address 150. This
address allows the central communication unit to send and receive data via the KNX
bus, i.e. a new address can, but must not be set.
