• Information on DP "UPnP localization"
If you set "UPnP localization = USB" and if the USB connection between PC/laptop and central
communication unit is active, the central communication unit signals "its presence on the network".
The Network Connections symbol then appears in the taskbar and in the Network Connections folder
on the PC/laptop. Click the Network Connections symbol to display important network connections. In
addition, the corresponding ports are opened in the Windows firewall.
Note: You must allow for display of the Network Connections symbol on the PC/laptop; see Help on
network connections symbol in taskbar. This symbol provides direct access to the web server
OZW775 rather than the IP address.

Explanation, example
Most ISPs demand authentication to access the
mail server.
If user name and password are not
authenticated (see the following two DPs), the
e-mail is not sent to the target address.
Authentication helps prevent unauthorized
persons from sending spam or advertising e-
mails to the mail server and stops the mail
server from accepting such e-mails.
User name and password help authenticate
each e-mail via the mail server (log in to mail
server).
Password and user name help authenticate
each e-mail via the mail server.
Note: The password is not replaced by
"**********", but displayed in clear text.
Explanation, example
DP "UPnP localization" can be selected as
follows: Settings > Communication > Ethernet
and
Settings > Communication > USB.
If setting value "USB" is configured via
command sequence "...> USB", "UPnP
localization" is no longer available via Ethernet.
Configuration is optional, i.e. the setting value
does not impact communication via USB; see
information below.
