This Job Aid applies to the replacement USB modem that is used with the Avaya
Important:
S8510 server.
Required materials
Verify that you have the following equipment on site:
USB modem (Material ID 700405020)
•
USB MODEM MT9234ZBA V.92 56K RHS (External Modem (MultiTech),
•
Material ID 700451172 (after August 5, 2008)
Remove the old modem
To remove the old or defective modem:
1. Remove the USB cable, phone line(s), and power from the rear of the modem.
Install the replacement modem
To install the replacement USB modem:
1. Reconnect the USB cable, the phone line(s), and power to their respective connectors on
the rear of the modem.
