Symptom:
*INOP NO FAULT CODES - SDARS
SDARS SUBSCRIPTION
FUSED B+ CIRCUIT
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT
GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
SATELLITE RECEIVER MODULE
TEST
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII , read the SDARS subscription status.
Does the subscription status read subscribed?
Yes → Go To 2
No
2 NOTE: Diagnose and repair any DTCs before continuing.
Disconnect the Satellite Receiver Module harness connectors.
Turn the ignition on and the radio on.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, probe the Fused B+ circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes → Go To 3
No
3 Disconnect the Satellite Receiver Module harness connectors.
Turn the ignition and the radio on.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, probe the Fused Ignition Switch
Output circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes → Go To 4
No
4 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Satellite Receiver Module harness connectors.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, probe the Ground circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes → Go To 5
No
POSSIBLE CAUSES
ACTION
→ Customer has not subscribed to this feature. No repair at this
time.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
→ Repair the Fused B+ circuit for an open. Check related fuses, if
fuse is open, repair short to ground.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
→ Repair the Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
→ Repair the Ground circuit for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
