EDID is a communications protocol or instruction set for the identification of display devices
to computers using the DDC (Display Data Channel) transmission standard. EDID information
consists of the resolution, refresh rate, and pixel clock information of a display device. You
can apply an EDID to a selected input by selecting one of the categories of EDID files shown
in the table below.
