Step 4.
Close the system board retention lever.

Step 5.
Reinstall the hot-swap fans (see "Replacing a thermal kit (hot-swap fan)" on page 129).
Step 6.
Install the microprocessor and heat sink (see "For service technician only: replacing a
microprocessor and heat sink" on page 161).
Step 7.
Reinstall the memory modules (see "Memory module installation" on page 113).
Step 8.
Reconnect the cables to the system board that you disconnected before.
Step 9.
Reinstall the PCI riser-card assemblies and adapters, if any were installed (see "Replacing an
adapter" on page 126 and "Replacing a PCI riser-card assembly" on page 121).
Step 10. Reinstall the air baffle (see "Replacing the air baffle" on page 107).
Step 11. Reinstall the cover (see "Replacing the cover" on page 105).
Step 12. Push the power supplies back into the server.
Step 13. Slide the server into the rack.
Step 14. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
Step 15. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
Step 16. Start the Setup Utility and reset the configuration.
• Set the system date and time.
• Set the power-on password.
• Reconfigure the server.
See "Using the Setup Utility" on page 31 for more details.
Step 17. Update the UUID (see "Updating the Universal Unique Identifier (UUID)" on page 40).
Step 18. Update the DMI/SMBIOS (see "Updating the DMI/SMBIOS data" on page 42).
Step 19. Reactivate any Features on Demand features such as the Advanced IMM.
Step 20. Update the Nutanix specific configuration. See "Configuring the HX Series appliance" on page 45.

For service technician only: removing the SATADOM

Use this information to remove the SATADOM.
