Optional compact & extended hearth panel kit Installation CB40E
The compact or extended hearth panel kits are used in conjunction with the
compact or extended hearth framing kits. Install the compact or extended
hearth framing kit before installing the panels. The bottom drywall inishing trim
must be removed if using the hearth top glass panels. This can alternatively
be removed if looking for a clean inish up to the appliance which does not
require this trim. Ensure that any other materials being used does not extend
beyond the existing inishing trim. There are 6 screws in front and 2 per side.
Loosen all screws and lift the inishing trim up and out and recycle once re-
moved. Retighten screws.
Note: The extended framing kit and panels are shown below.

1. Install the front panel irst, line up the screws on the back of the panel with
the keyholes on the framing kit.
Extended Hearth Glass Top Installation
The extended hearth glass top is used in conjunction with the extended hearth
framing kit. Install the extended hearth framing kit before installing the glass top.
1. Remove the outer safety barrier glass (if already installed) See manual for
detail instructions.
2 Remove screw from hearth and retain, install edge cover securing with screw
previously removed from hearth.

3. Repeat Step 2 on opposite side.

4. Install the glass hearth top (3 pieces in total)—apply a bead of silicone to the
top of the hearth framing before placing the three pieces of glass in place.
Handle glass carefully.
