config mirror port
Description
This command allows a range of ports to
have all of their traffic also sent to a
desnigated port − where a network sniffer
or other device can monitor the network
traffic. In addition, you can specify that
only traffic received by or sent by or both is
mirrored to the Target port.
Parameters
<port> − This specifies the Target port (the
port where mirrored packets will be sent).
<portlist> − This specifies a range of ports
that will be mirrored. That is, a range of
ports for which all traffic will be copied and
sent to the Target port. The port list is
specified by listing the beginning port
number on that switch and the highest
port number of the range. The beginning
and end of the port list range are separated
by a dash. For example, 3 would specify
port 3. 4 specifies port 4. 3-4 specifies all
of the ports between port 3 and port 4 − in
numerical order.
rx − Allows the mirroring of only packets
received (flowing into) the port or ports in
the port list.
tx − Allows the mirroring of only packets
sent (flowing out of) the port or ports in the
port list.
both − Mirrors all the packets received or
sent by the port or ports in the port list.
