Enabling the Spanning Tree Protocol

STP is disabled by default. You can enable STP globally or on individual VLANs.
To enable STP, use the following command:
set spantree {enable | disable}
[{all | vlan vlan-id | port port-list vlan-id}]
To enable STP on all VLANs configured on an WSS switch, type the following command:
23x0# set spantree enable
success: change accepted.
To verify the STP state and display the STP parameter settings, enter the show spantree command. For infor-
mation, see
"Displaying Spanning Tree Information" on page
