a. For firewall rules that apply to the WAN port (WAN to LAN, LAN to WAN, WAN to
WAN / ZyWALL), you can configure the WAN port's bandwidth management global
setting in the following screen.
b. For firewall rules that apply to the LAN port (LAN to WAN, WAN to LAN, LAN to LAN
/ ZyWALL), the LAN port's bandwidth management global setting is fixed at 100,000
kbps.
12.8.5 Configuring BM Global Settings
To change your ZyWALL's global bandwidth management settings, click Firewall, then the BM Global
Setting tab. The screen appears as shown.

Select this check box to have the ZyWALL apply bandwidth management to traffic
going out through the ZyWALL's WAN or LAN port.
Enable bandwidth management to give traffic that matches firewall rules that use
bandwidth management priority over traffic that does not match a firewall rule that
uses bandwidth management.
Enable bandwidth management to be able to control the maximum amounts of
bandwidth that can be used by traffic that matches firewall rules that are configured
for bandwidth management.
