Syntax
swtich unitid renumber { newid | auto-numbering }
Parameter
unitid —— Specify the member to be renumbered.
newid —— Specify the new stack member number for the stack member.
auto-numbering—— The specified member will obtain its stack number through
auto-numbering.

Modify the unit 1's new member number as 2:
T2700G-28TQ(config)# switch 1 renumber 2

switch authentication-mode

Description
The switch authentication-mode command is used to configure the stack
authentication mode. To disable the authentication function, please use no
switch authentication-mode command.
Syntax
swtich authentication-mode { simple | md5 } { [ 0 ] password | 7
encrypted-password }
no switch authentication-mode
Parameter
simple | md5 —— Specify the stack's authentication mode. "simple" means
authentication will be performed using a text password. "md5" means
authentication will be performed via a text password and MD5 algorithm. This
authentication mode has a higher security than Simple mode.
0 —— Specify the encryption type. 0 indicates that an unencrypted password
will follow. By default, the encryption type is 0.
