Downloading the Ava 500 Control
Application
The Ava 500 Control Application is downloaded from the App Store.
1. In the App Store, tap the search box in the upper right hand corner and search for 'Ava 500'.
2. Tap the iRobot Ava 500 App and install it. An Apple ID is required.
3. Tap the Ava 500 icon to start the application.
4. Enter the Ava 500 Cloud Service Hostname and the Username and Password. The Cloud Service Hostname
is only entered once on the initial login. The Cloud Service Hostname is
__________________________________________________________________________.
5. (optional) If your device has WiFi enabled and you are connecting to a network that uses proxy
authentication, enter an additional username / password provided by your network services.
6. To skip the login dialog in the future, go to the App Settings and set Automatically Log In to On.

Upgrading the Ava 500 Control Application
iOS application upgrades can be either automatic or manual. In both cases, you will know that your
Ava 500 App has been upgraded when you see a blue dot next to the Ava 500 name under the icon.
The dot remains until you use the new version.
Set up Automatic Upgrades
1. Tap the Settings icon on your device.
2. Tap the iTunes & App Store entry in the Settings column on the left.
3. On the right side, tap the Upgrades switch to change it to 'on' (
4. Press the Home button to go back to the iPad home page.
Use Manual Updates
A number in a red circle will appear in the right hand corner of the App Store icon. This number
tells you how many of your apps have updates.
1. Tap the App Store icon.
2. On the Upgrades list, tap the Ava 500 App upgrade notification. The upgrade will download.
