Only one cooling circuit is possible:
Heating/cooling circuit

Cooling operation via one heating circuit, e.g. a room
with underfloor heating. This room can be cooled in
summer and heated in winter.
Cooling via the heating circuit only takes place when
the outside temperature has exceeded the cooling
limit. Heating via the heating circuit only takes place
when the outside temperature has fallen below the
heating limit. The cooling limit and the heating limit is
set by your local heating contractor.

Separate cooling circuit

The separate cooling circuit ("Cooling circuit SKK")
can be connected to the heat pump control unit in
addition to the max. 3 heating circuits.
A separate cooling circuit cannot be used to provide
heating.
In these operating instructions, the heating circuits,
heating/cooling circuit and separate cooling circuit are
referred to generally as the heating/cooling circuits,
with a differentiation only being made between heating
circuit, heating/cooling circuit and separate cooling cir-
cuit in individual cases.

Heating circuit pump

Circulation pump for the circulation of the heating
water in the heating/cooling circuit.
Instantaneous heating water heater
See "Electric booster heater".
Heating water buffer cylinder
Thermal energy for central heating is stored in a heat-
ing water buffer cylinder. This safeguards the heat sup-
ply for all connected heating circuits even when the
heat pump is not operational for several hours, e.g.
during a power-OFF period.
Controlled domestic ventilation
A domestic ventilation system allows you to continu-
ously ventilate your rooms. The ventilation system
comprises a ventilation unit, ductwork and the supply
air and extract air valves.
Outdoor air filters fitted inside the ventilation unit pro-
tect against pollen.
Combining your heat pump with the Vitovent 300-F
ventilation unit enables all ventilation functions to be
set at the heat pump control unit.

"Heating circuit 1" is the heating circuit for the

rooms occupied by you.
"Heating circuit 2" is the heating circuit for the
■
rooms of a separate apartment.
"Cooling circuit SKK" is a separate cooling circuit
■
with fan convector for a storage room.
The heating/cooling circuits are labelled at the factory
as "Heating circuit 1" (HC1), "Heating circuit 2"
(HC2), "Heating circuit 3" (HC3) and "Cooling cir-
cuit SKK" (SKK).
If you or your heating contractor have renamed the
heating/cooling circuits (e.g. as "Apartment" etc.), that
designation will be displayed instead of "Heating cir-
cuit ..."/"Cooling circuit SKK".
You can heat up the heating water buffer cylinder over-
night and make use of economical night tariff power, if
applicable.
