Power from a photovoltaic system

Own consumption of power

Further information can be found in chapter
"Terminology" in the appendix.
Components that may be enabled for consumption
of power on site
DHW cylinder
You would like to heat the DHW cylinder to a higher
DHW temperature once a week (see page 26):
"Set DHW temperature 2"
You would like to heat the DHW cylinder to the stand-
ard DHW temperature (see page 26):
"DHW cylinder heating"
Heating water buffer cylinder
You want to heat the heating water buffer cylinder to
the "Standard" temperature (see page 22):
"Heating htg water buff cyl"
In addition, you can raise the respective set tempera-
ture for some enabled components.
The DHW cylinder will then be heated to the standard
DHW temperature, for example, plus the specified
temperature increase. This will compensate for possi-
ble cylinder losses (cooling down).
When the next demand occurs according to the time
program, the required temperature will ideally be avail-
able; the heat pump will not need to reheat.
Note
If for example it should start to rain whilst the cylinder
is being heated up, there may no longer be sufficient
power available from the photovoltaic system. In this
case, heating continues until the set temperature has
been reached; if necessary with power supplied by the
power supply utility.

4. If required, raise the respective set temperature by
the desired value, e.g. "Prop of DHW cyl. heat-
ing".

Requirements
DHW heating must be switched ON (operating program
"Heating and DHW", "Heating/cooling and DHW",
"Cooling and DHW" or "Only DHW", see page 26).
Activating the "Set DHW temperature 2" is only appro-
priate if you have not set a time phase for operating
status "Temp.2" in the time program for DHW heating
(see page 26).
If you still have operating status "Temp. 2" set in the
time program, your DHW cylinder will be heated with
electricity from your power supply utility in these time
phases if necessary.
Central heating must be switched ON (operating pro-
gram "Heating and DHW" or "Heating/cooling and
DHW", see page 20).
