Time program
(cont.)
3. "Time program DHW"
4. Set the required time phases and operating status.
Procedure for setting a time program, see page 15.
Note
Between the time phases, DHW is not heated; only
frost protection for the DHW cylinder is active.
When setting time programs, please bear in mind
that your heating system requires some time to heat
the DHW cylinder to the required temperature. Set
start and end times correspondingly earlier or use
the functions "Start optimisation" (see page 27)
and "Stop optimisation" (see page 27).
Operating status for DHW heating
"Top"
The top section of the DHW cylinder is heated to
the "Set DHW temperature" (see page 26), e.g.
when there is little DHW demand.
"Standard"
The entire volume of the DHW cylinder is heated to
"Set DHW temperature" (see page 26).
"Temp. 2"
The entire volume of the DHW cylinder is heated to
the "Set DHW temperature 2" (see page 26).

Setting the start optimisation

Start optimisation ensures that DHW is available at the
specified temperature right at the beginning of a time
phase in the time program.
Advanced menu:
1.
2. "DHW"
3. "Start optimisation"
Setting the stop optimisation
The stop optimisation ensures that the DHW cylinder is
always fully heated at the end of a time phase with the
operating status "Standard", in line with the time pro-
gram.
Setting a time program for the DHW circulation pump
No time phases are set for the DHW circulation pump
at the factory, i.e. the DHW circulation pump is
switched off.
Extended menu:
1.
2. "DHW"
3. "Time prog DHW circ"
4. Set the required time phases and operating status.
Procedure for setting a time program, see page 15.
Special feature with operating status "Standard"
and "Temp. 2"
With the following system versions, the entire volume
of the DHW cylinder is heated:
You have a heat pump with integral DHW cylinder.
You have a separate DHW cylinder without immer-
sion heater (electric booster heater).
There is no additional heat source (e.g. oil/gas
boiler).
or
Your additional heat source (e.g. oil/gas boiler) is
only used for central heating and not for DHW heat-
ing.
With the following system versions, only the upper
section of the DHW cylinder is heated:
You are heating a separate DHW cylinder addition-
ally with an immersion heater (electric booster
heater).
You are heating a separate DHW cylinder addition-
ally with another heat source (e.g. oil/gas boiler).
Please address any questions relating to your system
version to your heating contractor.
Example:
You require hot water for showering from 06:00 h in the
morning.
In the time program, set the start of the time phase to
06:00 h. With start optimisation, DHW heating auto-
matically starts earlier than this.
This means that at 06:00 h the DHW is available at the
specified temperature.
Advanced menu:
1.
2. "DHW"
3. "Stop optimisation"
Note
Between time phases the DHW circulation pump
remains off.
