Terminology
(cont.)
Note
In reduced heating mode, cooling is disabled.
Room temperature-dependent heating mode/cool-
ing mode
In room temperature-dependent mode, a room will be
heated or cooled until the specified room temperature
is reached. A separate temperature sensor must be
installed in the room for this purpose.
The heating output/cooling capacity is regulated inde-
pendently of the outside temperature.

Heating curve/cooling curve

The heating/cooling characteristics of your heat pump
are affected by the slope and level of the selected
Heating curve/Cooling curve.
Heating and cooling curves represent the relationship
between the outside temperature, the room tempera-
ture (set value) and the (heating circuit) flow tempera-
ture.
Heating curve:
The lower the outside temperature, the higher the
flow temperature in the heating circuit.
Cooling curve:
The higher the outside temperature, the lower the
flow temperature in the cooling circuit.

Weather-compensated heating mode/cooling mode
In weather-compensated mode, the flow temperature
is controlled according to the outside temperature. This
means that only that amount of heat or cold is gener-
ated that is actually required to heat or cool the interior
to the room temperature specified by you.
The outside temperature is recorded and transferred to
the heat pump control unit by a sensor fitted outside
the building.
In order to guarantee sufficient heat at any outside
temperature, the conditions of your building and your
heating system must be taken into consideration. For
this purpose, you can adapt the heating curve yourself.
Likewise, you can adapt the cooling curve for cooling
operation.
