Both kit types consist of a pair of slide rails that attach to the rack corner posts and a
pair of mounting brackets that attach to the server chassis. The diffence between
them is that the screw-mount slide rails are attached to the rack posts using screws
and the snap-in rails are attached with screwless clips.

Rack Mount Kit
Each screw-mount slide rail assembly consists of a three-section slide rail and a
removable mounting bracket. These components can be installed on either side of the
chassis.

The middle and rear sections have holes for attaching to the rack posts. They

adjust to fit rack depths from 24 in. (61 cm) to 36.5 in. (93 cm).
The front section extends out of the middle section, which allows the server to be

postioned far enough out of the rack for many service operationsto be performed.
