Carefully pry out shaft sealing ring, using a
cranked screwdriver with a second screwdriver
for leverage.

When installing:

Caution:
Spray seats of shaft sealing rings.

Uniformly chamfer collar at cover.

Caution:
Deburr seat for shaft sealing ring and remove metal
chippings.
•
Install shaft sealing ring with tubular
drift, BMW No. 11 7 571.
