Troubleshooting
Invalid Imaging Unit Error
Cannot communicate with the imaging unit.
This is caused by an incorrect value of the OEM
resistor in the imaging unit.
Can be caused by mis-reading the value of the
OEM resistor because of contamination of the
contact points.
Invalid Transfer Belt
Cannot communicate with the transfer belt.
This is caused by an incorrect value of the OEM
resistor in the transfer belt.
Invalid [Color] Toner
This is caused by the wrong CRUM value in the
toner cartridge.

1.
Verify a Xerox imaging unit is installed.
If not replace the imaging unit.
2.
Clean the imaging unit contact points.
3.
Check the harness connector between the main board
and imaging unit.
Reseat or replace the harness if defective.
4.
Replace the main board.
1.
Open the top cover and then check that it is correctly
locked in position.
Remove, re-install and re-lock the transfer belt.
2.
Replace the transfer belt.
3.
If the fault continues after re-seating the transfer belt,
check the voltage on Pin4 of CN10 on the main board.
Replace the harness if the voltage is not correct.
4.
Replace the main board.
1.
Clean the 3 contact points on the toner cartridge and
then re-install.
2.
Replace the toner cartridge if the same error recurs.
3.
Remove the front cover and then check the condition of
the contacts between the DEVE_OEM board and
terminals if the same error occurs.
Clean the terminals or replace if defective.
4.
Replace the DEVE_OEM board, HVPS or main board if
the same error recurs.
