10) Gearbox - Disassembly - Rotax 914 F Maintenance Manual

At malfunction of propeller governing suspect the following as possible
cause:
— adjustment of governor actuation
— malfunction of propeller governor
— insufficient oil pressure, oil pressure fluctuations
— propeller pitch control.

14.4.10) Gearbox - disassembly

See Pic. 227, 228 and 229.
Place gearbox ass'y under a suitable fixture Q and put pressure via yoke W
on dog gear until ring halves E come free and can be removed.
Now release pressure from gear by turning spindle R back and remove
gearbox from fixture. Remove drive gear T, thrust washer and dog gear.
Force apart bush Y with circlip pliers and withdraw from propeller shaft.

Remove overload clutch ass'y Q, 3 disk springs W 80x35x3, step collar E,
shims R, eccentric collar T for fuel pump and 8 mm (.315 in.) distance sleeve

ATTENTION: Do not depress dog gear excessively as this might destroy
gear cover.
ATTENTION: Do not overstress bearing bush Y, otherwise it will become
unusable.
