black mark sensor
6. Failure of the feed motor or platen
motor.
7. The cutter mechanism is not
installed properly.
Print position has not been adjusted.
1. Failure of the printer cable
2. Failure of the PC or application
software
3. Failure of the CPU PC board
4. Driver PC board failure.
• Use only TOSHIBA TEC specified
media.
• Clean the print head and remove
any dust from the media.
• Re-load the ribbon properly.
• Use only TOSHIBA TEC specified
ribbon.
• Replace the ribbon rewind motor
or ribbon feed motor.
• Use only TOSHIBA TEC specified
ribbon.
• Set the paper properly.
• Use paper approved by TOSHIBA
TEC.
• Adjust the media sensor sensitivity
and voltage.
• Replace the feed gap sensor or
black mark sensor.
• Replace the feed motor, platen
motor or driver PC board.
• Install the cutter mechanism
properly.
• Refer to Section 5.3.3 to adjust
the print position.
• Replace the cable.
• Modify the program.
• Replace the IC57, 42, 27, 1, 18,

If the trouble is not solved, replace
the CPU PC board.
• Replace the driver PC board.
