Replacing Cisco ASR 9000 Series Router Components
Confirm your choice.
Step 4
Please confirm that you wish to upgrade from AC power supply version 2 power system to DC
power supply version 2 power system by typing "yes" at the prompt below. Any other
response will cancel the power system change operation [yes/cancel]?
After the success message appears, power down the chassis.

The power system programming change is complete. The system must now be completely powered
down, and the NEW power system hardware installed. When the system is rebooted the
software will recognize the new power system. Please power down the system at this point.

Removing a Version 1 AC or DC Power Module

Follow these steps to remove a version 1 AC or DC power module from the power tray (see

Pivot the door to the right to eject the power module from its bay.
Step 2
Slide the power module out of its bay while supporting it with your other hand.
Step 3
Use two hands to remove the power module. The power supply weighs about 6.5 pounds (2.95 kg).
