Clustering (Dual Host) Configuration
Connect one end of a 12 meter data cable to the host bus adapter (HBA) in the
host computer #1 and the other end to the "IN" port on the CR8e subsystem
S2S Interface card. Secure the cable connectors using the thumb screws.
Connect one end of a 12 meter data cable to the host bus adapter (HBA) in the
host computer #2 and the other end to the "OUT" port on the CR8e subsystem
S2S Interface card. Secure the cable connectors using the thumb screws.
Turn on the power to the CR8e. After the power-on self-test has successfully
completed, the Status and Channel Mode LEDs will be solid green.
Set the SCSI IDs. The IDs are configured via the Operator Control Panel
using a predefined set. Access the Options menu and select "SAFTE CHAIN
ID" then choose "None."
After setting the subsystem identification you must power cycle the subsystem.
Observe normal power cycling precautions by waiting a minimum of five (5)
seconds before applying power again.
Proceed with completing the installation and configuring the array, refer to
Chapter 3 Configuration.
