Fuel Fill Door Opener Cable Replacement
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see page 23-13) and the precautions
and procedures (see page 23-14) in the SRS section before performing repairs or service.
NOTE;
. Put on gloves to protect your hands.
. Take care notto scratch the body and related parts.
1. Remove these items from the left side of the vehicle:
. D o o r s i l l t r i m { s e e p a g e 2 0 - 5 0 )
. R e a r s i d e t r i m p a n e l ( s e e p a g e 2 0 - 5 1 )
Pullthe carpet back as necessary (see page 20-55).
Disconnect the fuel fill door opener cable (A) from the opener (B) (see step 3 on page 20-109).

4 . K C m o d e l : R e m o v e t h e l e f t m i d d l e f l o o r c r o s s - m e m b e r g u s s e t ( s e e p a g e 2 0 - 1 1 3 ) .
5 . R e m o v e t h e c u s h i o n t a p e { C ) , a n d r e l e a s e t h e c a b l e f r o m t h e c l i p s ( D , E ) .
6 . R e m o v e t h e f u e l f i l l d o o r l a t c h ( F ) f r o m t h e b o d y b y t u r n i n g i t 9 0 ' .
7. Remove the fuel fill door opener cable from the vehicle. Take care not to bend the cable
8 . I n s t a l l t h e o p e n e r c a b l e i n t h e r e v e r s e o r d e r o f r e m o v a l , r e p l a c e t h e c u s h i o n t a p e , a n d r e p l a c e t h e c l i p i f i t i s
o a m a g e o .
