4. Align the quick-connect fittings with the line (A).
a n d a l i g n t h e r e t a i n e r ( B ) l o c k i n g p a w l s w i t h t h e
connector {C) grooves. Then press the quick-
connect fittings onto the line until both retainer
p a w l s l o c k w i t h a c l i c k i n g s o u n d .

5. lvlake sure the connection is secure and that the
p a w l s a r e f i r m l y l o c k e d i n t o p l a c e ; c h e c k v i s u a l l y
and by pulling the connector.
6. Reconnectthe negative cable to the battery, and
t u r n t h e i g n i t i o n s w i t c h O N ( l l ) . T h e f u e l p u m p w i l l
run for about 2 seconds, and fuel pressure will rise
Repeat 2 or 3 times, and check that there are no
fuel leaks.
