(C) to identify the locations of rollers and grooves
i n t h e i n b o a r d j o i n t . T h e n r e m o v e t h e l n b o a r d j o i n t
on the shop towel (D). Be careful not to drop the
rollers when separating them from the inboard
J o r n t .
N4ake a mark (A) on the rollers (B) and spider (C) to
identify the locations of rollers on the spider, then
remove the rollers.
R e m o v e t h e c i r c l i p { D ) .
Mark the spider (C) and driveshaft (E) to identify the
position of the spider on the shaft,
R e m o v e t h e s p i d e r ( C ) .

8. Wrap the splines on the driveshaft with vinyl tape
(A) to prevent damage to the boot.
9 . R e m o v e t h e i n b o a r d b o o t . B e c a r e f u l n o t t o d a m a o e
the boot.
10. Remove the vinyl tape.
