Park the vehicle on level ground, and turn the
e n g i n e O F F .
2 . R e m o v e t h e o i l f i l l e r p l u g ( A ) a n d w a s h e r ( B ) , c h e c k
the condition of the fluid, and make sure the fluid is
at the proper level (C).

p l u g ( D ) a n d d r a i n t h e f l u i d .

R e i n s t a l l t h e d r a i n p l u g w i t h a n e w w a s h e r , a n d
refill the transmission fluid to the proper level.
Oil Capacity
1.5 0 (1.6 US (F) at tluid change
1.7 0 {1.8 US qt) at overhaul
Always use Honda Manual Transmission Fluid
(MTF). Using motor oil can cause stiffer shifting
and noise because it does not contain the proper
additives.

Back-Up Light Switch Test
1. Disconnectthe back-up light switch (A) connector.
Check for continuity between the back up light
s w i l c h 2 P c o n n e c t o r N o . 1 a n d N o . 2 t e r m i n a l s .
There should be continuity when the shift lever is in
reverse.
lf necessary, replace the back-up light switch.
