5.5.1.2 Service Type

If you set the DSL link type to PPPoA or IPoA for the ATM interface and configure a WAN
connection using the ATM interface, you only need to configure the Enter Service Description and
MTU fields in this screen.

DESCRIPTION
Select the method of encapsulation used by your ISP.
Choices are PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), IP over Ethernet and Bridging.
Specify a name for this connection or use the automatically generated one.
Enter the maximum transmission rate in Kbps for traffic sent through the WAN
connection. Otherwise, leave this field blank to disable the rate limit.
This field is not available for an ATM connection if QoS is disabled in the DSL ATM
Interface Configuration.
Maximum Transmission Unit. Type the maximum size of each data packet, in
bytes, that can move through this interface. If a larger packet arrives, the Device
divides it into smaller fragments.
Select this option to add the VLAN tag (specified below) to the outgoing traffic
through this connection.
This field is available when the layer-2 interface is in VLANMUX mode.
