5.5.1.4 NAT, IGMP Multicast and Firewall Activation
The screen is available only when you select IP over Ethernet in the WAN Service
Configuration screen or set the DSL link type to IPoA for the ATM interface and configure a WAN
connection using the ATM interface.

DESCRIPTION
Enter the Device's subnet mask. It must be smaller than C class
(255.255.255.0).
Select this to have the Device give the LAN DHCP clients public IP addresses.
LAN clients can still configure static private IP addresses and access the
Internet.
Clear this option to assign the LAN DHCP clients private IP addresses. LAN
clients can still configure static public IP addresses and access the Internet.

DESCRIPTION
Select this check box to activate NAT on this connection.
This field is available only when you select Enable NAT.
Select this check box to have the Device act as an IGMP proxy on this
connection. This allows the Device to get subscribing information and maintain
a joined member list for each multicast group. It can reduce multicast traffic
significantly.
Select Enable to have the ZyXEL Device act as an MLD proxy on this
connection. This allows the ZyXEL Device to get subscription information and
maintain a joined member list for each multicast group. It can reduce
multicast traffic significantly.
