reload

The reload Privileged EXEC mode command reloads the operating system.
Syntax
reload
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
Privileged EXEC mode
User Guidelines
Caution should be exercised when resetting the device, to ensure that no other activity is being performed. In
particular, the user should verify that no configuration files are being downloaded at the time of reset.
Example
The following example reloads the operating system.
Console# reload
This command will reset the whole system and disconnect your current session. Do you want
to continue (y/n) [n]?

hostname

The hostname Global Configuration mode command specifies or modifies the device host name. To remove the
existing host name, use the no form of the command.
Syntax
hostname name
no hostname
Parameters
name — The host name. of the device. (Range: 1-158 characters)
