D Sentence formatter setting

q Enter "GPS-TX" in GPS mode.

• GPS-TX screen is displayed.
w Push [∫](2) or [√](8) to select "DVG."
e Push [ ](5) to select GPS sentence screen.
r Push [∫](2) or [√](8) to select the desired GPS sentence,
then push [ ](5).
• A total of 6 sentences, RMC, GGA, GLL, GSA, VTG and GSV
are available.
t Push [∫](2) or [√](8) to select to turn the sentence usage
ON and OFF.
y Push [ ](5) to return to GPS sentence screen.
u Repeat steps r to y to set another GPS sentence
usage.
• Up to 4 GPS sentences are usable at the same time.
i Push [MENU
] to return to the frequency screen.

NOTE:
Set the GSV sentence to OFF when sending the GPS mes-
sage to conventional digital transceivers (IC-E2820, IC-E91,
IC-V82, IC-U82).
The GSV sentence is incompatible with them. Those trans-
ceivers will not display GPS messages properly if sent as a
GSV sentence from the IC-E80D.
