Select the Duration tab.

Under Post Alarm, double-click the channel you want to change and select the amount of
time the DVR will record after events occur.

Click Save to save your changes and click Exit to return to Live Viewing mode.
To enable Pre Alarm:

From Live Viewing mode, right-click to open the Main Menu. Click Setup then Recording.

Select the Duration tab.

Under Pre Alarm, double-click under the channel you want to change and select On to enable
Pre Alarm.

Click Save to save your changes and click Exit to return to Live Viewing mode.
Enabling/Disabling Event Logs
By default, the DVR creates a log entry when events occur. You can enable or disable event
logs for each event type and each channel.
To enable/disable event logs:

From Live Viewing mode, right-click to open the Main Menu. Click Setup then Recording.

Configure Post Alarm duration
Click Save
Select On to enable Pre Alarm
Click Save
