Under Private Recording, select the number of days you would like the DVR to save. Select
Off to disable Private Recording.
NOTE: To select a custom number of days between 1~99, click Custom. Then use the on-screen
keyboard to select the number of days and click Save & Exit.

Click Save to save your changes and click Exit to turn to Live Viewing mode.

Configure networking settings and set up email alerts.

Configuring Network Type: DHCP or Static IP

The system has the ability to operate in DHCP mode and Static IP mode. DHCP allows the
router to assign an IP to the DVR. Static IP mode fixes the IP of the DVR. Fixing the IP
address of the DVR ensures that the IP address will not change if the power goes out or
your router resets.
NOTE: You may need to perform additional configuration on your router to set a Static IP address,
see your router's instruction manual for details.
To select DHCP or Static IP:

From Live Viewing mode, right-click to open the Main Menu. Select Setup then Network.

Select the Ethernet tab.
Select number of days for private
recording or select Off to disable
private recording
Select Static or DHCP
If Static, configure IP address, Subnet
Mask, Default Gateway, and DNS
