Installing and Removing a Hot-swap Hard Drive (Hot-
swap Hard Drive System Only)
You may install up to three hot-swap SAS or SATA drives in the Intel
SR1600UR (Product Code: SR1600URHS).
Cautions: If you install less than three drives or devices, the empty drive bays must be occupied by
carriers with baffles to maintain proper system cooling.
To avoid possible damage to your server system, do not use older style drive carriers.

Installing a Hot-swap SAS or SATA Hard Disk Drive

To install a hot-swap SAS or SATA hard disk drive, follow these steps:
