Chapter 7. Advanced Settings

Working in MXM Mode

In a point-to-point call and when MXM mode is active, you can add another
participant to the call without hanging up, i.e. – the call continues while the
additional participant is being invited.
xPoint Standard (S) Ver. 1.5 User Guide
User Number – Enter the user number used for identification
on the gatekeeper server.
o Enable Outgoing DNS Addressing – Select this checkbox to
enable outgoing DNS addressing.
o Enable NAT – Select this checkbox to NAT addressing.
o NAT Address – If Enable NAT is selected, enter the NAT IP
address.
o RTP – In the two boxes, set the RTP range:
From – Enter the minimum RTP value.
To – Enter the maximum RTP value.

Select Apply.
Note: In MXM mode, the system administrator should configure the
LDAP settings for MXM on the server side.
To verify that MXM mode is active:
1.
Press Status on the remote control and check in the displayed
information that an MXM icon appears.
2.
Select Settings>Network>IP>H.323 and check the displayed
information.
The New Call IP number shows the extension number that the system
received when initiating MXM mode, which is the ID number.
To add participants to the call in MXM mode:
1.
Select MXM>Invite; the Invite call window is displayed.

Note: the MXM>Invite option is available on the menu only when MXM
mode is active.
