Chapter 6. Interactive Multicast Videoconferencing
Grant Floor to a Participant
Allow the selected remote participant to transmit audio and video to all the
other participants, including to the Chair who ceases to transmit audio and video
as long as the grant is in effect.
Once the Floor is granted, a green camera icon appears on the Chair's screen
indicating that the participant has the Floor.
Automatically Grant Floor
When the Automatically Grant Floor checkbox is selected, remote
participants that are added to the list may take the floor whenever they request it.
Set the Answer Mode
The answer mode is set so that new participants can be added automatically,
rejected automatically or added manually by the Chair to the list of participants
(adding without granting them the Talk/Floor).
Reclaim Floor
Returns the floor to the Chair without disconnecting the participant who had the
floor.
Start/Stop Recording
The Chair can start recording the videoconference via Start Record even before
adding participants. The 'recording' icon is displayed on each remote side.
The Chair can stop the recording via Stop Record and view it via the recordings
archive via the Web (see
Sharing>File.
Disconnect a Participant
The Chair can disconnect a specific remote participant (one at a time) by
selecting the participant on the Participants list and then selecting Disconnect.
If the Talk/Floor was given to that participant at the time of disconnection, it
returns to the Chair.
Disconnect the Entire Session
The Chair can disconnect all participants and end the call (multicast session) by
selecting Hang Up.

Auto Answer – Enables new participants to join the interactive session even
when the Chair is not present. New participants are added to the Participants
list on the Chair's screen view.
Auto Reject – Automatically rejects any request to join the session (any
incoming call). The Chair may use this option to prevent disruption or when
only specific participants were added or are to be added to the list of
participants.
Manual Answer – The Chair can manually accept or reject each individual
call when it is received. If the Chair rejects a call, the requesting participant
sees message: "Call has been rejected".
